Your dashboard and setup checklist
What the Provider Network Admin dashboard shows, how the shared Set up your account checklist works, and where its two links really go.

/dashboard is the Provider Network Admin home page, and the Set up your account card on it is the shared checklist your whole team ticks off while the network goes live.
Questions people ask about this page
Is the checklist the same as the setup wizard that blocked me on my first login?
No, and this catches everyone. The wizard is blocking — four screens you cannot escape. The Set up your account card is a shared reminder list that blocks nothing and that anyone on your team can tick. See Finish account setup for the wizard.
Who writes the checklist items? Can I add my own?
GEN Health writes them. A Provider Network Admin cannot add, edit, reorder or delete an item. You can only tick one done, untick it, open its detail, or dismiss the whole card once every item is complete.
Two checklist links take me to "Settings category not found". Is my account broken?
Your account is fine. Both links in the current checklist point at settings pages that do not exist for a provider network. Invite your team points at /settings/team and Connect your payment processor points at /settings/payments; neither is a real route. The working destinations are Dashboard → Users → Add, and left menu → Billing. Full detail in What can go wrong below.
If I tick an item, does anyone else see it?
Yes. The card's own description says Shared with everyone on your team. Progress is stored on the network, not on your user, so a tick is visible to every admin. Dismissing the finished card removes it for everyone too.
Does ticking an item actually do anything?
No. The checkbox is bookkeeping. Ticking Connect your payment processor does not connect a processor. Do the work on the real page first, then tick.
Why does my Onboarding tile say 1 when everybody has signed in?
Onboarding counts people whose own setup wizard is unfinished, not people who have never signed in. Somebody logged in, got as far as step three, and stopped. Open /providers and look for the amber Onboarding badge.
Where is the checklist for my clients?
Each client tenant sees its own card on its own dashboard. You cannot tick a client's items for them from here. Your view of a client's progress is on /clients.
Where to find it
Left menu → Dashboard. Direct link: /dashboard. The Set up your account card sits below Recent clinical activity and above the Users table. Visible to: Provider Network Admin. Providers and Provider Delegates get a different dashboard with no checklist and no Users table.
The short version
Do the two checklist items on the pages that actually work
Invite your team → Dashboard → Users → Add, or /providers → Add Provider for clinicians. Connect your payment processor → left menu → Billing.
Tick both, then dismiss the card
When the progress line reads 2/2 · 100% the card shows You are all set and a Dismiss button.
Then work the real order
The checklist is two items. The full setup path is the fifteen steps in this Getting Started category, and they run in order.
What is on this page
| What you see | What it does |
|---|---|
| Good morning, {your first name}! 👋 | Page heading. Swaps to Good afternoon / Good evening by clock time. |
| Open reports | Button, top right. Goes to /reports. |
| Onboarding · Providers needing setup | Count of network users with an unfinished setup wizard. Above zero means someone cannot work. |
| Providers · All providers | Count of Providers and Provider Delegates. |
| Linked Clients · Connected clients | Count of clients connected to this network. |
| Recent visits / Recent prescriptions | The two Recent clinical activity tables. Clicking a row opens that visit or prescription. |
| Set up your account | The checklist card. Description: Shared with everyone on your team. |
| Users | Everyone in the network, with search, filters and an Add button. |
| Update payment method banner | Only when your GEN Health platform fee has failed. Reads Your latest platform fee failed to process. Fix it before anything else. |
Every control on the checklist card
| Control | What it controls | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Card title Set up your account | Fixed. Not editable by a network admin. | — |
| Progress line | Reads {done}/{total} · {percent}%, for example 0/2 · 0%. | 0 of however many items GEN Health has published |
| Checkbox on each row | Marks the item done for the whole team. Accessible name is Mark {title} as done / Mark {title} as not done. | Not done |
| Row title button | Opens the item's detail dialog. | — |
| Detail dialog | Shows Part of your setup checklist., a Not done pill, a What to do section with the instruction and its link, plus Close and Mark as done. | — |
| Complete state | Replaces the rows with You are all set and Every setup step is complete. Dismissing this removes it for everyone on your team. | — |
| Dismiss | Removes the card for every admin in the network. Appears only when every item is done. | — |
An item can also carry sub-checklists, attachments and custom fields when GEN Health has added them. The two items published today carry none.
The two checklist items, and where they really go
| Checklist item | Its link says | Where the work is actually done |
|---|---|---|
| Invite your team — Add your staff from the Team page. | /settings/team | Clinicians: /providers → Add Provider. Network Admins and Provider Delegates: /dashboard → Users → Add. |
| Connect your payment processor — Open Payments settings to connect Stripe. | /settings/payments | Left menu → Billing (/billing). Note this is the patient processor, not your GEN Health card. |
How to work the checklist
Open the dashboard
Left menu → Dashboard. Scroll past Recent clinical activity.
Read the progress line
It sits under the card title and reads {done}/{total} · {percent}%.
Open an item before you tick it
Click the item's title, not the checkbox. The dialog shows What to do.
Do the work on the real page
Use the destinations in the table above, not the link inside the dialog.
Come back and tick
Click the checkbox on the row, or Mark as done inside the dialog. The progress line updates for everyone.
Dismiss when the card is finished
At 100% the card shows You are all set. Click Dismiss only when you are sure — it removes the card for your whole team.
Statuses you will see here
| Status | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Not done | Shown in the checklist item's dialog. The item has not been ticked by anyone on your team. | Do the work, then Mark as done. |
| Active (Users table) | The account can sign in and work. | Nothing. |
| Pending (Users table) | Invitation sent, never claimed. | Row action Send magic link, or Delete the pending invite and re-send. |
| Inactive (Users table) | An admin switched the account off. | Row action Activate. |
| Primary (badge on a name) | That admin is the primary billing contact for the network. | Change it with the row action Set as primary contact. |
| Pending Review / Under Review / Confirmed / Completed | Visit statuses in Recent visits. | Defined in What a provider network is. |
The Users status filter opens with Active and Pending already selected. Once anything is ticked the pill stops saying All Statuses and just reads 2 selected, so deactivated people are hidden and the control does not say what it is filtering on.
What can go wrong
| What you see | Why | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Settings category not found — That settings page is not available for this account. after clicking Team page in the Invite your team dialog | The checklist item links to /settings/team. A provider network has no such settings page — its eight pages are Account and billing, Network overview, Operations, Messaging, Branding, Security, Developers, Artificial intelligence. | Click Back to settings, then go to /dashboard → Users → Add for admins and delegates, or /providers → Add Provider for clinicians. |
| The same error after clicking Payments settings in the Connect your payment processor dialog — and it opens in a new tab | That item links to /settings/payments, which also does not exist for a provider network. | Close the tab and use left menu → Billing. See Patient payment processor. |
| No Set up your account card at all | Either every item is done and somebody dismissed it, or GEN Health has published no checklist for provider networks. | Nothing to fix. A dismissed card does not come back. |
| A teammate unticked an item you ticked | Progress is shared across the network, not per user. | Agree who owns the card. There is no per-user copy. |
| You ticked Connect your payment processor and patients still cannot pay | The tick is bookkeeping only. | Go to /billing and pick a real processor tile. None means test mode. |
| A red banner: Your latest platform fee failed to process. | Your network's own GEN Health card was declined. The banner warns about account suspension. | Click Update payment method, or fix it at Account and billing. |
| You cannot delete a user row | A Provider Network Admin can only delete accounts still in Pending. | Use Deactivate instead. The confirm reads This user will lose access to the platform. |
