Account and billing
Your network's own GEN Health account: billing contact, card, billing address, plan, agreements and payment history.
/settings/account-billing is the money your network owes GEN Health — your plan, your billing contact, your card, and every payment you have made.
This page is not patient payments. Nothing here touches what a patient is charged at checkout. That lives on a different page: left menu → Billing (/billing). Two pages, two directions of money.
Questions people ask about this page
What is the difference between "Billing" and "Account and billing"?
Account and billing (this page, inside Settings) is money flowing out of your network to GEN Health. Billing (a top-level nav item) is money flowing in from patients, and holds nothing but a payment-processor picker. They are unrelated.
Why can I not change my plan or price?
The Plan details card is read-only for a Provider Network Admin. There is no Edit, Trial, Cancel or Resume control on your side. Raise a support ticket at /support with recipient GEN Health. /support opens on the Incoming Requests tab, which is normally empty — click Your Support Tickets to see and raise your own.
My Plan details card says "No active subscriptions or usage pricing." Am I being billed?
That message means no subscription and no usage pricing are configured for your network yet. It is normal for a brand-new network. If you believe you are on a plan, check the Payments table below for real charges and raise a ticket if the two disagree.
What does the billing contact actually control?
It nominates which network admin is the account owner for billing correspondence. That person's name gains a Primary badge in the Users table on your dashboard. Changing the select saves immediately — there is no Save button — and toasts Billing contact updated.
Where do I find what I signed?
Click View agreements on the Overview card. The Agreements dialog lists every acceptance of the Terms, Privacy Policy and Business Associate Agreement by anyone in your network, with User name, Email, Date, Time and a PDF column.
My dashboard says a platform fee failed. Is that this page?
Yes. The banner reads Your latest platform fee failed to process. and warns about suspension. Fix it here by clicking Payment method on the Overview card and saving a working card, or use the banner's own Update payment method button.
Is there an invoices table like the client app has?
Not on the network side. You get one Payments table, and clicking a row opens the hosted invoice or receipt in a new tab. There is no separate invoices tab and no lab-processing-fee section for a provider network.
Where to find it
Left menu → Settings → the Account and billing card. Direct link: /settings/account-billing. The URLs /settings/account and /settings/billing also land here. Visible to: Provider Network Admin only — Providers and Provider Delegates have no Settings item at all.
The short version

Choose an admin in the Billing contact select. It saves on selection.
Save a card
Click the Payment method row, fill Card number *, Exp * and CVC *, click Save payment method.

How to add or replace the card GEN Health charges
Open the page
Left menu → Settings → Account and billing.
Click the Payment method row
It reads None on file if you have never saved one. The Update payment method dialog opens.
Enter the card
Fill Card number *, Exp * and CVC *. If a card is already saved, click Change first.
Save it
Click Save payment method. Wait for Payment method updated.
Add the billing address in the same dialog
Scroll to Billing address, fill the fields, and click Save billing address. It is a separate save.
Close and confirm
The Overview card should now show the card brand, last four digits and expiry instead of None on file.
Statuses you will see here
| Status | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Active | Subscription pill. Your plan is running. An empty stored status also renders as Active, so missing data looks healthy. | Nothing. |
| Paid | The latest invoice settled. Detail line Renews {date}. | Nothing. |
| Trial | You are inside a trial. Detail line Trial ends {date} or In trial. | Save a card before it ends. |
| Scheduled | The plan has a future start date. | Nothing. |
| Due $X.XX or Past due | You owe GEN Health. Detail line Payment overdue. | Fix the card, then check the Payments table. |
| Canceling | The plan will end at the period end. One L — it is a Stripe spelling. | Contact GEN Health if that is wrong. |
| Canceled | The plan has ended. | Contact GEN Health. |
| Default | Badge on a saved card. It is the only payment-method badge that exists — there is no expired or declined badge. | Check the expiry date yourself. |
| Payments Status column | The processor's own status, title-cased. Paid, Open, Processing, Void and Payment Failed are the usual ones. | Open the receipt from the row to see detail. |
| Generating… / Failed / Unavailable | The PDF column in the Agreements dialog. | Reopen the dialog later. Failed needs a support ticket. |
Colour is not a reliable signal here. Past Due and Incomplete render grey, not amber, because they are missing from the badge colour map.
What can go wrong
| What you see | Why | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| You set up a card here and patients still cannot check out | This card pays GEN Health. Patient checkout is a separate processor. | Left menu → Billing. See Patient payment processor. |
| The whole page is blank | Your admin account is not attached to a provider network, so the component renders nothing. | Raise a ticket at /support with recipient GEN Health. |
| You saved the card but the address still says None saved | The dialog has two independent saves. | Reopen it and click Save billing address as well. |
| No Open in Stripe button | Your network has no Stripe customer linked yet. | Nothing you can do from here — the customer-linking control is not shown to network admins. |
| A payment row has no receipt | Some rows are local bookkeeping entries with no hosted document. | Use Refresh, then raise a ticket if a real charge has no receipt. |
| No payments yet. though you know you have been billed | The ledger has not synced, or the charge is on a parent account. | Click Refresh. If it stays empty, raise a ticket. |
| You cannot cancel or downgrade | Every plan control requires an edit permission network admins do not have. | Raise a ticket at /support with recipient GEN Health. |
| A card was declined and nothing on the page says so | Saved payment methods have no declined or expired badge anywhere in the product. | Watch the dashboard banner and the Payments table instead. |
